Getting a Dubai Visa is fairly easy and uncomplicated, however, getting through the Philippine Immigration is most of the time a challenge and complicated.

First, you need to get a sponsor to apply for a Dubai Visa.  It can be an airline, hotel or travel agency in Dubai.

Second, there are four (4) types of visas to choose from: Transit, Tourist, Visit Visa or Cruise ship Visa.
  1. Transit Visa – allows the bearer to stay for up to 14 days in UAE.
  2. Tourist Visa – allows the bearer to stay for 30 days, under sponsorship from UAE airlines, hotels, or travel agencies.
  3. Visit Visa – comes in two (2) variations:  30 days or 90 days.  Sponsor has to be a relative or friend residing in the UAE.
  4. Cruise ship Visa – allows the bearer to make multiple entries to UAE via a Cruise ship.
Required documents vary for each visa type.  The following are the basic documents needed for any visa application:
  1. A scanned copy of your Philippine passport bio page (page 2) and last page
  2. Passport should be valid for 6 more months from the date of intended travel
  3. Make sure that your travelers signature is indicated at the back
  4. Scanned copy of a colored passport-sized photo with white background
  5. The application form can be accomplished by your sponsor or travel agency
  6. Visa fees may vary.
Other agencies may require additional documents.

If you are a frequent traveler, getting through the immigration may not be a problem.  However, for first time travelers, you may need more than what is in the list of supporting documents below:
