Dubai airport is one of the best airports in the world when it comes to amenities and features.  There are special services offered for every possible needs though some will have some monetary cost.

Flight Status App

Available for free both in Android and iOS, you can download the app DubaiAirports for updates on your flight status.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs can be requested directly from the airline when booking your ticket or during check in.

Airport Buggy

Airport Buggy can be requested but not guaranteed.

Duty Free Shopping

Duty Free Shopping is one of the things tourists are looking forward to not only at the airport but all over Dubai as the country does not impose tax at the moment.

Meet and Greet Services

There are 3 providers for meet and greet services at Dubai airports.

Marhaba Services - the official meet and greet services of Emirates.  www.marhabaservices.com

Ahlan Services - Dubai International Airport’s premier Concierge Service providing an exclusive and highly personalized meet and greet service at Dubai International Airport’s Terminals 1 and Terminal 3 only. From disembarkation through luggage collection.  www.ahlan-dia.com

Al Majlis Services - meet and greet for prestigious guests and VVIPs starting from AED1,500 per person.  www.dubaiairports.ae

Baggage Services

Porters are available by the terminal entrance for departing passengers and at the baggage reclaim carousels for arriving passengers.  They will help with your baggage for a fixed cost of AED25 which you directly pay to the porter.

Trolleys are free of charge.

Baggage wrapping is available at the check-in areas of Terminal 1 and 3 starting from AED25 per bag.  Weigh your bags before having them wrtapped.  Bring 1 dirham coins for the weighing machine.   You might have to weigh your bag several times so better to bring more coins.

Short-term storage for baggages are available at Terminals 1 and 3 starting from AED20.

Baggage delivery service is also available at the baggage counter in the Arrival hall of Terminal 3 near Exit 1.

Smoking Lounges

Smoking in public areas inside the airport is strictly not allowed.  There are comfortable, well ventilated smoking lounges in all Dubai terminals.
Locations include:
Terminal 1: Gate D12, Upper level.
Terminal 2: Near the departure area.
Terminal 3: Gates A2, A23, B7, B27, C9, C23.

Wi-Fi

Unlimited, free, high-speed Wi-Fi is available across all areas of DXB and DWC airports.

Showers

Complimentary shower facilities are available at Terminals 1 (between gates C18 and C22) and Terminal 3 (between gates B13 and B19 and between gates A1 and A24).

Child/Baby Amenities

Children's play area and baby care rooms are available, just ask 'May I Halp You' staff to find one closes to you.

Baby Carriages are available in the airport.
