Visit visa extension amended

It was recently announced that the extension of expired visit visas has been amended to only one month or till 10 August.  This covers visit, tourist and transit visas that expired after 1 March 2020.

Visa extension was given till December due to the pandemic caused by Covid19 but it has been cancelled due to Dubai's successful program to prevent the spread of the virus and it has recently opened its doors to tourists starting 7 July.  Tourists with expired visas must leave anytime between 18 May and 19 August to avoid penalties.

Tourists have the option to renew their visit visa or they can change their visa for a longer stay in UAE.
